Mick Salyer, Proprietor
Extensive travels in Spain and a deep appreciation for the convivial food traditions in San Sebastian and Barcelona form the foundation of Mick Salyer's Napa restaurant program, including ZuZu, La Taberna, The Bitter Bar and Napa Wood-Fired Paella Co. With experience in nearly every restaurant position from dish pit on up to restaurateur, he's focused on welcoming hospitality, building community, and supporting local farmers.
Armando Ramirez, Chef
Oaxacan-born chef Armando Ramirez showcases his creativity and appreciation for Spanish-inspired local flavors to every dish he creates. His travels in Spain and connections with area purveyors are evident in his vibrant seasonal menus. Ramirez has been working with the ZuZu team for 20 years, and now leads both the ZuZu and La Taberna kitchens.
Jenn Anderson, Pastry + Events
A familiar presence at La Taberna and ZuZu, Jenn Anderson has developed the desert program. A trained pastry chef with years of experience and a Culinary Institute of America graduate, she travels to Spain to seek inspiration. In addition to her pastry talents, Jenn has worked in Napa Valley restaurants for over 20 years in various positions including event planning. Those skills come into play as she manages The Block Party events along with continuing her pastry creations.
